Yes. The breaker's mechanical over-current and short-circuit protection per IEC 60898-1 is fully independent of the WiFi link. The WiFi controls only the remote on/off, scheduling, and energy logging. If the router or internet goes down, the breaker continues to protect the circuit physically. App control and remote commands resume when WiFi returns.

Yes, choose a 4P (three-phase + neutral) WiFi breaker rated for the load current and the system voltage (typically 400 V AC line-to-line). Single-phase 1P units cannot be used in series for 3-phase protection — phase failure detection only works with a true 4P or 3P unit.

WiFi MCB provides over-current and short-circuit protection per IEC 60898-1 only. WiFi RCBO adds earth-leakage protection per IEC 61009 (typically 30 mA for personnel, 100 to 300 mA for fire). For bathrooms, geysers, and water pumps, choose the RCBO variant for personnel safety.

A 1.5-ton split AC draws approximately 6 to 8 A at 230 V running, 18 to 25 A starting. A 16 A or 20 A 1P WiFi MCB with C-curve characteristic is correct. For a 2-ton AC, step up to 25 A or 32 A.
