LAY5-ES545 Emergency Stop Push Button -- Red Mushroom Head

A standard 22mm emergency stop push button with a red mushroom-head actuator and twist-to-release mechanism. This is the same style of E-stop used in factories, CNC machines, and industrial control panels worldwide. One NC (normally closed) contact block is included.

When pressed, the mushroom head locks down and opens the NC contact, cutting power to the machine or process. To reset, twist the red head clockwise until it pops back up. Simple, reliable, and compliant with IEC 60947-5-5.

Wiring

Wire the NC contact in series with the machine contactor coil or safety relay input. When the button is pressed, the NC contact opens, de-energizing the contactor and stopping the machine. This fail-safe design means a broken wire also stops the machine -- the correct behavior for emergency circuits.
