Which size do I need?

A 2-pole breaker takes 2 ways, a 4-pole RCCB takes 4. Add them up before you choose.

How to fit

  1. Mount the box upright with cable entries at the bottom, so water runs off.
  2. Use cable glands in every entry you open; an open hole loses the IP65 rating.
  3. Clip the devices on the DIN rail and tighten every terminal.
  4. Label each circuit, close the cover fully, and keep it closed outdoors.
  5. Have a licensed electrician test before switching on.

The box is an enclosure. Protection comes from the breakers, SPDs and voltage protectors you fit inside it.

FAQs

Can I put it outside on the roof?

Yes, that is what IP65 is for: dust-tight and protected against water jets, as long as the cover is closed and the cable entries are sealed with glands.

Which size for a solar DB?

A single-string solar DB (DC breaker, DC SPD, AC breaker) usually fits in HT-8. Hybrid systems with AC SPD and changeover need HT-12 or bigger.

Does it come with breakers?

No, the box comes empty. Add DC breakers, DC SPDs and AC breakers as you need.
